Wake Forest Memorial VFW Post 8466 has kicked off its 2025 "Buddy Poppy" Campaign. Each weekend from 25 April through 27 May, members of our Post and volunteer helpers will be standing outside the doors of the Wal-Mart store in Louisburg distributing the famous "Buddy Poppies". We will also be at the Wake Forest Wal-Mart on Friday, 25 April and Saturday, 3 May. We encourage you to accept one with our compliments. We only ask that you wear it during these weeks leading up to Memorial Day to show that you remember those who gave their all for our Country. Of course, we will gladly accept your donations for our relief fund also. Please click the link below to find out more about "Buddy Poppies" or to volunteer to help us raise funds to help disabled Veterans and Veterans in need in our local area.
Join us for Wake Forest's own Friday Night on White outdoor street festival! There will be great music, good food, and some adult beverages. Of course, the Chuck Wagon will be there serving our regular menu of 100% Sirloin Burgers, Nathan's All-beef Franks and delicious Bratwurst subs.
