1932 - 2021: Charlie Roland Young, 88, of Wake Forest, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born August 1,1932 in Greene County, NC to the late Charlie Calvin and Mary Lula Brann Young. Roland was a member of Church of God 7th Day in Farmville. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Wake Forest VFW Post #8466. He enjoyed going to church, serving the Lord, carpentry, learning new computer skills, accounting, and volunteering his time each spring offering tax preparation services for seniors. Roland's greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. His quiet wisdom and generosity knew no bounds, and the love he shared with his family exemplified a life well-lived.
