1951 - 2023: Born and raised in Brightwaters, Long Island, NY, Tony enlisted in the US Air Force and served in Vietnam in 1971-72. After his discharge from active duty, Tony attended Long Island University, CW Post College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He practiced public accounting in New York for 42 years. After retirement in 2020, Tony and his wife Renee moved to Youngsville, NC to be close to Renee's twin sister. Tony was very active in VFW Post 8466, serving as Junior Vice-Commander and chairman of the recruiting team. He was also the founder and co-Chair of the Post's very successful bi-monthly Veterans' Coffee and Community Outreach program. Tony passed away on 19 June 2023, just days before his 72nd birthday.
