Wake Forest Memorial VFW Post 8466 has kicked off its 2024 "Buddy Poppy" Campaign. Each weekend from April 27 through May 21, members of our Post and volunteer helpers will be standing outside the doors of the Wal-Mart store in Louisburg distributing the famous "Buddy Poppies". We encourage you to accept one with our compliments. We only ask that you wear it during these weeks leading up to Memorial Day to show that you remember those who gave their all for our Country. Of course, we will gladly accept your donations for our relief fund also. Please click the link below to find out more about "Buddy Poppies" or to volunteer to help us raise funds to help disabled Veterans and Veterans in need in our local area.
Each month from April through October, an American Flag is raised in front of the Wake Forest Town Hall at Centennial Plaza to honor the sacrifices of a deceased Wake Forest Veteran and their family.
